Building a culture of innovation on the foundation of your improvement practice This workshop will focus on building a culture of innovation in organizations. We will explore the key ingredients of a successful innovation culture, such as a robust focus on patients, a willingness to try and fail to learn, and a recognition of the importance of stretching the strategy horizon farther into the future. We will also discuss the importance of building on existing performance improvement or Lean capabilities to create a foundation for innovation. In addition to theoretical discussions, the workshop will include hands-on practice with the tools of design thinking, futures thinking, and systems thinking. Participants will learn how to use these tools to identify and solve problems, generate new ideas, and create an environment for prototyping and testing innovative solutions.
