Specialist Course in Improvement Science (SCIS)

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Stanford Medicine Specialist Course in Improvement Science is a fully virtual, healthcare-focused, professional certification to bring improvement practitioners to the industry standard in improvement science. The course has two tracks that require the following:

Specialist Track

  • 15 weeks of training (mix of flipped classroom and virtual learning)

  • Complete a Case Study

LSSBB Certification Track

  • Complete Specialist Track

  • Pass a written certification exam

  • Complete a healthcare improvement project

  • Successfully deliver an oral project and skills defense
