This presentation will emphasize the critical role of effective interpersonal communication and targeted wellness practices in improving patient outcomes and fostering collaborative team environments.

During the session, participants will engage in discussions and hands-on activities that demonstrate essential TeamSTEPPS strategies, such as improving communication clarity, fostering mutual support among team members, and increasing situational awareness. Additionally, we the presenters will discuss inclusion of wellness practices designed to enhance resilience and well-being among healthcare professionals, creating a culture of support and care that extends to patients.

By the end of this session, attendees will leave with actionable strategies and specific tools ready for immediate implementation of customized TeamSTEPPS in their daily practice, leading to improved teamwork and a transformative approach to patient care. As well, they will understand the customized TeamSTEPPS process used at SHC Tri-Valley with the potential to use this in their own areas.
