Making Sense of Implementation Theories, Models, and Frameworks

This article aims to categorize the theories, models, and frameworks present in IS to properly facilitate the selection and application of relevant approaches to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue among researchers. This article proposes 5 categories of theoretical approaches under 3 overarching aims which are: understanding/explaining influences on implementation outcomes, describing/guiding process models, and evaluation frameworks
