The effectiveness of continuous quality improvement for developing professional practice and improving health care outcomes: a systematic review

This is a systematic review assess 28 RCTs for the effectiveness of different approaches to continuous quality improvement (GCI) across health care systems. The results determined that the benefit was uncertain due to the quality of the RCTs and the unpredictable complexity of the healthcare systems and settings studied.
